My name is Raul Nicu, I am an architect and spatial designer. The inspiration for projects I develop comes from travels, music, movies and all that is nature. I had my first interaction with architecture around the age of 9 when my grandfather built with wood, straw, mud and other natural mixtures, the annex of the house where I grew up. The materials, doors, windows, tiles, stove were made in the village, by local craftsmen.
Participating in this process of direct creation, influenced me in a profound way, later understanding that architecture is beyond building walls or designing. It is the process of creating together a balanced environment in which life takes place, in which we rediscover ourselves, discover the essence of being part of a community, whether it is the family or the workplace.
Behind the name Mura Cube are all my beliefs and philosophy for architecture and human interaction. It is also the balance between all that is natural (Mura) and all that is mineral, man-made (Cube)
Already a complex field, for me architecture comes back to one basic thing: how does it interact with people and how do they feel when they experience a space or an environment?
Therefore, I design spaces and buildings that seek the very essence of the human being. They are created to help us find our balance, focus on our being and develop an enhanced version of ourselves.
